Well you can't but, you can just like one! After 4 years of being on the air, a Gossip Girl clothing line is finally happening! GG fans rejoice! Thanks to the amazing people at
Warner Bros. and Romeo & Juliet Couture. The line will make it's debut this weekend at the Coterie trade show in New York City.

The collection is inspired by the hit CW show's most fashionable characters Blair Waldorf and Serena van der Woodsen. The collection will include sweaters, dresses, outwear, embellished tops and tons more. Although, I am (as I know we all are) obsessed with their handbags, bracelets, necklaces, rings and brooches we are just going to have to be wait because their accessesory line it won't launch until next spring. Last Thursday, I had the pleasure of attending 'Fashion's Night Out The Artists of Patricia Field' at the legendary East Village eatery Veselka. Although it took us nearly forever to get there, as soon as my guest and I arrived we spotted the iconic Field dancing while greeting guest; she was warm, inviting and full of light, just as hoped she'd be. Throughout every picture and interview Field's eyes lit up with excitement and joy as she spoke over her love of art and passion for undiscovered stars. The party showcased over half a dozen artist with exceptional talents, "using assorted mediums, including paint, photography, fashion, sculpture and video". Each piece including a few (majority) of the guest were more eye-catching the the next. Take a look for yourself.

Rest in Peace Betty Ford

Today, we lost one of the most courageous and outspoken people this country has ever seen. Betty Ford, who was not only a first lady but a breast cancer survivor, who battled, addiction to both drugs and alcohol and in the 1970's. Ford, stood up for issues people, even her husband (President Gerald Ford) were opposed to and were afraid to speak of. She famously said "Having babies is a blessing, not a duty," referring to a woman's right to choose, an issue her husband famously opposed. Ford firmly believed that couples should live together before marriage, which was at that time was extremely controversial. She wanted women to be drafted into the military if men were.

This former first lady created the well known Betty Ford Center in 1982 and helped not only celebrities but over 90,000 people get a new lease on life. Today we lost a woman who understood women of all races and ages no matter what they've been through. R.I.P Former First Lady Elizabeth Ford, your courage and the path you paved will forever live on. Betty Ford died at the age of 93.

Let me start off by saying I hate guns, however Dutch jewelry designer Ted Noten has created this one of a kind pistol that every fashionista and beautynista must have. Entitled "Seven Necessities", this hand crafted 'gun' contains lip gloss, a toothpick, a hairpin, a conceal a 4GB thumb drive, various pills in the loading chamber and a small vial of perfume. It's everything a girl (and some boys) might need for a night out! If your thinking, this seems like something I would like to have well, it can be yours for just $11,500 for the Dior pistol and $17,000 for the Chanel. I know what will be on my Christmas list this year.

Umm... First, Gross! Why would I want dead animal skin on any part of my body! Second, $300, for a manicure? That is absurd! However, my job is to not only give my opinion but also give you facts.

Manicurist Terri Silacci uses discarded skins, which are naturally shed by the animals, with a gel manicure for unique beauty treatment. Each piece is cut to fit each nail perfectly, with manicures lasting 3 weeks and pedicures 12 weeks.

This is just out of control! Designer brand cigarettes? Versace, Givenchy, YSL and a few others have all lent their logos to big tobacco. Advertised to women in Asia and Russia, these ads are meant to make smokers feel superior and women who don't feel incomplete. Here is a sample ad:

who chose to smoke Yves Saint Laurent cigarettes more attractive than
one who smokes another brand or more attractive than a woman who did not smoke

Thank you making us non-smokers feel inferior! However, no matter how many ads you create, you still wont find me smoking.

Fashionista News: First Grader Goes Under the Knife!

Has it come to this? Unbelievable! First grader Samantha Shaw of South Dakota, got elective plastic surgery to prevent bullies from verbally and physically attacking her. In an interview with Good Morning America report Juju Chang, Shaw stated that although she has never been bullied but wanted the surgery so she wouldn't. During the interview, Shaw's mother quickly added "that others have made comments in front of Samantha -- with adults being worse than other kids -- but confirmed that the surgery was more preventative, so that her daughter wouldn't get bullied in the future." Shaw received the extremely painful and costly ear pinning surgery earlier this month. We all know that the bullying epidemic has reached it's highest however is bully prevention following suit? Let's hope not!

The British born fashion designer is having a BAD year. First, his drunken rant finds it's way to TMZ, the rant in which he declares his love of Hitler, "people like you would be dead. Your mothers, your forefathers would all be fucking gassed" referring to the group of Italian women he was talking too. Following his anti-semitic rant, Galliano was arrested and fired by fashion label Dior all in the same week! Just recently, Galliano was fired from his eponymous label. One of the most talented designer we've seen in a while, has dug himself into a hole so deep, he may never get out. To be continued...

Emergency Bra... Yup, that's right I said (typed) Emergency Bra! This half bra half gas mask was created by Ukrainian doctor Elena Bodnar, this bra is similar to the typically bra we buy. However this one has "special powers", it can transform into a personal protective respiratory device if necessary. Talk about being overly prepared for a disaster, this product get a "yeah" and a "no" from me. I like this product very much, but I also think it's sort of ridiculous to be that paranoid and that ready for an attack. Most people I've spoken to believe, why not buy a bra that serve the same purpose and that can save your life with this important function.

I guess we should be calling this, "The Real Wonder Bra". The best thing about this creation, I would have to say is that it can be quickly split into two masks, one for the bra wearer and one for a bystander. So, during a crisis I guess a stranger won't mind breathing deeply into your sweaty bra... and what if you have more that one person around you? Would they have to share or would one of them have to die? Just playing devils advocate.

Goreski, 33, told People magazine “I love Rachel and she’s taught me everything I know, but there’s a point where either I do it now or I’ll never know what it’s like to spread my wings and soar.” To be honest, I was getting really annoyed with Brad anyways, so I don't really care if he leaves or not. And I have a feeling that he won't be a struggling stylist (like the rest of us), he will do well and might even get his own show (I predicted it first!). Fashionista News: Elle Accused of Lighten Skin!

'Precious' and 'The Big C' star Gabourey 'Gabby' Sidibe appears along with Lauren Conrad, Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried on the October issue on ELLE magazine. However, that is where the similarities STOP. With Sidibe's cover she is the only one photographed from the chest up and appears lighter then her average skin tone. While Conrad, Fox and Seyfried are shot practically full body. In a statement released to the media, ELLE states "each of the women were shot in different ways and for different reasons," which to me is not good enough excuse to why Sidibe's cover looks that way! They go on to say, in regards to the digitally lightened cover that “nothing out of the ordinary” had been done to the pictures.

“We have four separate covers this month and Gabby's cover was not retouched any more or less than the others” it read.

“We had 25 cover-worthy subjects in our portfolio and we chose Gabby because of who she is.

“We shot this as a story of exuberant young women changing the world. If you take a look at the portfolio, each of the women were shot in different ways and for different reasons."

To sum it all up, it's just decorative designs on the back of your jeans. And because they do not have already made Winkers pants, you must send in your own pants to be decorated. They ask for tight fitting pants because "Baggy pants do not “wink”. (I am so serious, this product is real)" The Winkers company have the right to accept or refuse a specific design and will not produce designs that violate the copyrights. So, if you were hopping for a Stewie Griffin Winker, your out of luck. This company wants you show of your "wink"... Whatever that is!

I am currently obsessed over these Gap feed bags! The mega corporation is partnering up with FEED Project to debut a limited collection of FEED USA bags. For those who are unaware, the FEED Project provides much needed help to children across the world. "The 3 bag collection features a canvas tote for $29.50, a denim bucket bag for $39.50 as well as a denim or canvas lunchbox for $19.50." Gap will begin to sell these adorable charitable bags during Fashion's Night Out on September 10th at their 5th Ave store.

And the generosity continues, Gap will be donating $5 of each sale to a school's food improvement project of your choosing. Now, who said that people in fashion only care about themselves?

Opened last Friday at 400 Bleecker Street, BookMarc (clever, right) is just another part of the West Village empire that designer Marc Jacobs is creating. Jacobs, who has 4 stores just on Bleecker st., created BookMarc as your classic run of the mill book store. The store will also "carry vinyl records, CDs, a line of Bookmarc colored pencils and notebooks and customized Bookmarc." So, the question is not will you be shopping there; it's what will Marc Jacobs think of next? I can't speak for you, but I can not wait to see!

Actress, mom and over all goddess Halle Berry is on the cover of the most important issue in fashion. Before Halle, there was Naomi {Campbell}, who was the first African American woman to appear on the cover of the magazine's September issue. Why has Vogue waited so long? Will other magazines follow suit, and have more blacks on their covers? I hope so... I hated growing up and not recognizing anyone who resembled me in my favorite fashion magazines. Congrats Halle!
